TRANSMISSION SHIFT MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT P POSITION SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT MAIN SWITCH)


    1. Check the resistance.

        Component without harness connected

        (P Position Switch (Transmission Shift Main Switch))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        4 (S) - 2 (E) Switch on 646 to 714 Ω
        Switch off 4351 to 4809 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel assembly.

    2. Check the Illumination.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the P position switch and check that it illuminates.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6 (IND+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 7 (IND-)

        		 Illuminates

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 3 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel assembly.
