SHIFT LEVER KNOB INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a die (M6 x P1.00 mm), clean the threads of the transmission instrument panel shift assembly.

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction shown by the arrows in the illustration, and install the shift lever knob sub-assembly to the transmission instrument panel shift assembly.

      *a Measuring Point

      Using a vernier caliper, adjust the height of the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

      Standard Height
      11.59 to 13.59 mm (0.457 to 0.535 in.)

    4. Remove the protective tape area around the transmission instrument panel shift assembly.
