SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION INSTRUMENT PANEL SHIFT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Temporarily install the transmission instrument panel shift assembly to the center lower cluster support bracket with the 3 nuts.

   2. Fully tighten the 3 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:

      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

   3. Connect the transmission instrument panel shift assembly connector.

2. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

3. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

5. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

   Click here

6. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER OPERATION

   
   

   1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

   2. Check that all available shift positions can be selected moving the shift lever.

      Tech Tips

      After the transmission instrument panel shift assembly is replaced with a new one, perform the above operation. If this operation is not performed, moving the shift lever may not initially select shift positions.
