DESCRIPTION

The transmission control ECU assembly receives a P position switch signal from the EV control ECU and activates the parking lock motor by controlling current, causing the parking lock mechanism to switch. When the EV control ECU detects a malfunction with the P position switch or P position signal, it sends an information signal to the transmission control ECU assembly. After receiving this signal, the transmission control ECU assembly stores this DTC.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (EV)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check if DTCs are output.


      Powertrain > EV > Trouble Codes
      Result

    5. Turn the power switch off.

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.


      Body Electrical > Transmission Control > Trouble Codes

    5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.


      Body Electrical > Transmission Control > Clear DTCs

    6. Turn the power switch off.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Wait for 2 seconds or more.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    5. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output. A
      DTC C2315 only is output. B
      DTC C2315 and other DTCs are output together. C

      Tech Tips

      DTC C2315 only may be output when the P position switch (integration control and panel assembly) connector is disconnected and reconnected.

    6. Turn the power switch off.
