CHECK FOR DTCS (USING THE GTS)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs and freeze frame data, and then write them down.
Check the details of the DTCs.
CHECK FOR DTCS (SYSTEMS OTHER THAN THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)
Tech Tips
The transmission control ECU assembly maintains communication with other ECUs, including the EV control ECU. Therefore, if the transmission control ECU assembly outputs a warning, it is necessary to check and record the DTCs of all systems.
If DTCs are present, check the relevant systems.
Tech Tips
If DTCs for the CAN communication system are present in addition to other DTCs, first troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions in the CAN communication system.
CLEAR DTCS (USING THE GTS)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
Note
It may not be possible to clear the following DTCs using the GTS: C2300 (Actuator System Malfunction), C2301 (Shift Changing Time Malfunction), C2303 (Short in Power Source Relay Circuit), C2304 (Open or Short Circuit in U Phase), C2305 (Open or Short Circuit in V Phase), C2306 (Open or Short Circuit in W Phase), C2307 (Power Supply) and C2309 (Open in B+ Circuit). In such cases, disconnect the P CON-MAIN fuse and wait for at least 60 seconds to clear the DTCs after the repair.
Clearing the DTCs will also clear the freeze frame data.
CLEAR DTCS (WITHOUT USING THE GTS)
Turn the power switch off.
Remove the P CON-MAIN fuse from the motor compartment relay block located inside the motor compartment for more than 60 seconds.
Check for DTCs again to see if the DTCs are cleared.
Note
If DTCs are output, repair the parts by following the diagnostic trouble code chart.
Clearing the DTCs will also clear the freeze frame data.
