HYDROGEN DETECTOR(for Motor Room Side) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL HYDROGEN DETECTOR WIRE BRACKET

   Tech Tips

   This procedure is only performed when the hydrogen detector wire bracket is being replaced with a new one.

   
   

   1. Install the hydrogen detector wire bracket to the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL HYDROGEN DETECTOR WIRE

   Tech Tips

   This procedure is only performed when the hydrogen detector wire is being replaced with a new one.

   
   

   1. Engage the 3 clamps to install the hydrogen detector wire to the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly and hydrogen detector wire bracket.

3. INSTALL HYDROGEN DETECTOR

   
   

   1. Install the hydrogen detector to the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • The hydrogen detecting portion of the hydrogen detector should face the bottom of the vehicle.

      • If the hydrogen detector is dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it with a new one.

   2. Connect the hydrogen detector connector.
