HYDROGEN DETECTOR(for Motor Room Side) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note


    • If the hydrogen detector is dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it with a new one.

      *a Hydrogen Detecting Portion
      *b Water Resistant Membrane

      Because water resistance will be degraded and error will be introduced to detection precision, do not poke the water resistant membrane of the hydrogen detecting portion with sharp objects.

    • Because water resistance will be degraded and error will be introduced to detection precision, do not directly spray the water resistant membrane of the hydrogen detecting portion with high pressure water or air.

    • Because water resistance will be degraded and error will be introduced to detection precision, do not expose the water resistant membrane of the hydrogen detector to an environment that is 120°C or higher.

    • Because error will be introduced to detection precision, do not expose the hydrogen detector to environments with high gas or solvent concentration of 4% or more.

    • Because error will be introduced to detection precision, do not directly spray the hydrogen detecting portion with sprays such as preservatives, polishing agents, silicone, or those containing combustible gases such as isobutane, etc.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for LHD)

  6. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH (for RHD)

  7. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH (for LHD)

  11. REMOVE HYDROGEN DETECTOR


    1. A01MJUF

      Disconnect the hydrogen detector connector.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and hydrogen detector from the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      If the hydrogen detector is dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it with a new one.

  12. REMOVE HYDROGEN DETECTOR WIRE

    This procedure is only performed when the hydrogen detector wire is being replaced with a new one.


    1. Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the hydrogen detector wire from the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly and hydrogen detector wire bracket.

  13. REMOVE HYDROGEN DETECTOR WIRE BRACKET

    This procedure is only performed when the hydrogen detector wire bracket is being replaced with a new one.


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and hydrogen detector wire bracket from the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.
