  1. INSPECT WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Check the resistance.

        (Water Temperature Sensor)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Approximately 20°C (68°F) 2.28 to 2.63 kΩ
        Approximately 80°C (176°F) 0.305 to 0.331 kΩ

        CAUTION:


        • Do not put your hands into the water that has been heated for the inspection.

        • Touching the heated water could result in burns.

        Note


        • When putting the water temperature sensor into water to perform inspection, make sure water does not enter the terminal portion.

        • After inspection, wipe away any water droplets adhering to the water temperature sensor.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the water temperature sensor.
