WATER PUMP INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL EV WATER PUMP BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    This procedure is only performed when the EV water pump bracket is being replaced with a new one.


    1. Temporarily install the EV water pump bracket to the center frame crossmember sub-assembly with the bolt A.

    2. A01MJ1ZC02
      *a Bolt A
      *b Bolt B

      Install the bolt B.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

    3. Fully tighten bolt A.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

    4. Engage the clamp to connect the motor wire to the EV water pump bracket.

    5. Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL EV WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the EV water pump with motor assembly to the EV water pump bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, only remove the protective tape covering both connector portions of the motor wire and EV water pump with motor assembly immediately before performing work.

    3. Connect the EV water pump with motor assembly connector.

  3. CONNECT NO. 1 EV WATER PUMP HOSE


    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, remove the plastic bag from the No. 1 EV water pump hose and EV water pump with motor assembly immediately before performing the procedure.

      *d Hose paint mark (white)
      *e Claw should be within this range (45°)

      Connect the No. 1 EV water pump hose to the EV water pump with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Align the hose and hose clamp at the locations shown in the illustration and install them.

  4. CONNECT EV WATER PUMP INLET HOSE


    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, remove the plastic bag from the EV water pump inlet hose and EV water pump with motor assembly immediately before performing the procedure.

      *d Hose paint mark (yellow)
      *e Claw should be within this range (45°)

      Connect the EV water pump inlet hose to the EV water pump with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Align the hose and hose clamp at the locations shown in the illustration and install them.

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET

  6. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  7. ADD INVERTER COOLANT

  8. INSPECT FOR INVERTER COOLANT LEAK

  9. INSTALL NO. 3 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE

  10. INSTALL LOWER FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER
