WATER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE

    Click here

  3. DRAIN INVERTER COOLANT

    Click here

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT EV WATER PUMP INLET HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the EV water pump inlet hose from the EV water pump with motor assembly.

      Note


      • During removal, make sure not to damage the port of the EV water pump with motor assembly or the inner surface of the hose.

      • Perform the work by hand. Do not use tools.

      *a Plastic Bag

      To prevent contamination by foreign matter, cover the connecting portions of the EV water pump inlet hose and EV water pump with motor assembly with plastic bags.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 1 EV WATER PUMP HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 EV water pump hose the EV water pump with motor assembly.

      Note


      • During removal, make sure not to damage the port of the EV water pump with motor assembly or the inner surface of the hose.

      • Perform the work by hand. Do not use tools.

      *a Plastic Bag

      To prevent contamination by foreign matter, cover the connecting portions of the No. 1 EV water pump hose and EV water pump with motor assembly with plastic bags.

  8. REMOVE EV WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Clean away any coolant around the connectors of the EV water pump with motor assembly.

      Disconnect the EV water pump with motor assembly connector.

      *a Protective Tape

      To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, cover both connector portions of the motor wire and EV water pump with motor assembly with protective tape.

    4. A01MH3T

      Remove the 3 bolts and EV water pump with motor assembly from the EV water pump bracket.

  9. REMOVE EV WATER PUMP BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    This procedure is only performed when the EV water pump bracket is being replaced with a new one.


    1. Remove the bolt.

      Disengage the clamp to separate the motor wire from the EV water pump bracket.

    3. A01MJ1Z

      Remove the 2 bolts and EV water pump bracket from the center frame crossmember sub-assembly.
