ENGINE HOOD MOULDING INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

   INSTALL FRONT HOOD MOULDING ASSEMBLY

   Tip:

   When installing the front hood moulding assembly, heat the vehicle body and front hood moulding assembly using a heat light.

   Standard
   Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Front Hood Moulding Assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   CAUTION:
   

   *a	Heated Part
   *b	Heat Light

   
   

   • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

   • Touching the heat light may result in burns.

   • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

   
   

   1. Clean the vehicle body surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install a new front hood moulding assembly.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and the front hood moulding assembly.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the double-sided tape.

         Tip:

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. 

         *a	Double-sided Tape	-	-
         	Install in this Direction	-	-

         Attach the clip to install the front hood moulding assembly as shown in the illustration.

         Tip:

         Press the front hood moulding assembly firmly to install it.

      4. Remove the protection film from the face of the front hood moulding assembly.

   INSTALL FRONT HOOD MOULDING PAD

   
   

   1. Install the front hood protector with the 8 clips.
