WIPER SWITCH INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      B0069FO Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw to install the windshield wiper switch assembly.

    2. B00275Y

      Connect the 2 connectors.

  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

      B0069FO Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw to install the upper steering column cover to the steering column assembly.

  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    Note

    Make sure to correctly follow the installation procedures. Otherwise, the part may become damaged.

      B0069FO Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw to install the lower steering column cover to the upper steering column cover.

      *A w/ Smart Entry and Start System
      *B w/o Smart Entry and Start System

      Install the screw.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

      With the steering wheel assembly facing straight ahead, turn the steering wheel 90° to the right and install the screw shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }
    4. B00251QC01
      *A w/ Smart Entry and Start System
      *B w/o Smart Entry and Start System

      With the steering wheel assembly facing straight ahead, turn the steering wheel 90° to the left and install the screw shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

    5. Operate the tilt and telescopic lever to return the steering position to its original position.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
