PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Check the operation of the mirror surface (w/ Power Mirror Control System).


      1. A01SJOZC07
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH)

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

      2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 9 (MV)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 (M+)

        Turns upward

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (M+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 9 (MV)

        Turns downward

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (MH)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 (M+)

        Turns left

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (M+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (MH)

        Turns right

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

    2. Check the operation of the retractable mirror (w/ Power Retract Mirror).

      Note:
      • Disconnect and reconnect the battery between each mirror position check.

      • The mirror position cannot be changed manually when the battery is connected. To change the mirror position manually, the battery must be disconnected first.

        (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH)

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

      2. For each position: Disconnect the battery, set the mirror position by hand, connect the battery, and check the retractable mirror movement.

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (MF)

        Forward position (A) Moves from (A) to (E)

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (MR)

      Check the side turn signal light assembly LH (w/ Side Turn Signal Light).


      1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check the illumination condition.

        OK
        Measurement Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (TRNL)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (GND)

        Side turn light illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, check the side turn signal light assembly LH (Click here).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

    4. Check the mirror light illumination (w/ Outer Mirror Foot Light).

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH)

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

      2. Apply battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check the illumination condition.

        OK
        Measurement Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (MLP)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (MLP-)

        Mirror light illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

    5. Check the operation of the mirror heater (w/ Mirror Heater).

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Rear View mirror Assembly LH)

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Terminal 1 (HL+) - Terminal 5 (HL-) 25°C (75°F) 6.0 to 9.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, check the outer mirror LH (Click here).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

    2. Check the operation of the retractable mirror (w/ Power Retract Mirror).

      1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check the illumination condition.

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (GND)

        Side turn light illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, check the side turn signal light assembly RH (Click here).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

    4. Check the mirror light illumination (w/Outer Mirror Foot Light).

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

      2. Apply battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check the illumination condition.

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (MLP-)

        Mirror light illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

    5. Check the operation of the mirror heater (w/ Mirror Heater).

        Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        If the result is not as specified, check the outer mirror RH (Click here).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.
