9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)

11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER LH

12. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Partially remove the floor carpet.

       Tech Tips

       It is not necessary to fully remove the floor carpet. Partially remove it so that the lock control cable can be removed in a later step.

13. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH

    
    

    1. Partially remove the rear wheel house liner.

       Tech Tips

       It is not necessary to fully remove the liner. Partially remove it so that the lock control cable can be removed in a later step.

14. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. Remove the grommet from the vehicle body.

    2. Detach each clamp as shown in the illustration.

       Fuel Lid Lock Control Cable Sub-assembly

    3. 

       Remove in this Direction

       Detach the claw and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly from the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

17. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    
    

    1. Remove the grommet from the vehicle body.

    2. Detach each clamp as shown in the illustration.

       

       *A	for 4WD and Pre-Runner without VSC	-	-
       *1	Fuel Lid Lock Control Cable Sub-assembly	*2	Grommet

    3. 

       Remove in this Direction

       Detach the claw and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly from the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

18. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER

    1. Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration.
