UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

   REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a

      Screw <D>

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and defroster nozzle assembly.

2. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a

      Screw <D>

      Remove the 4 screws <D> and No. 2 heater to register duct sub-assembly.

   REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a

      Screw <D>

      Remove the 4 screws <D> and No. 1 heater to register duct sub-assembly.

   REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

   
   

   1. w/o Navigation System:

      
      
      1. 

         Remove the No. 2 heater to register duct.

   2. w/ Navigation System:

      
      
      1. 

         Detach the clamp and remove the No. 2 heater to register duct.

   REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

   REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Connector
      *b	Screw <D>

      Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

   2. Remove the 4 screws <D> and center instrument panel register assembly.

7. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

   
   

   1. w/o Front Passenger Airbag:

      
      

      1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

   2. w/ Front Passenger Airbag:

      
      

      1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

      2. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, release the airbag connector lock.

      3. 

         *a	Connector	*b	Airbag Connector
         *c	Protective Tape	*d	Connector Lock

         Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly.

         Note:

         When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

   REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

      Remove the No. 4 instrument panel cushion.

   REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the No. 3 instrument panel cushion.

10. Click here

    REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

11. Click here

    REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.

12. Click here

    REMOVE NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the No. 5 instrument panel cushion.

13. Click here

    REMOVE METER MOUNTING BRACKET

       Screw <D>

       for LH Side:

       
       

       1. Remove the screw <D> and meter mounting bracket.

    2. 

       *a

       Screw <D>

       for RH Side:

       
       

       1. Remove the screw <D> and meter mounting bracket.
