PROCEDURE

   REMOVE COOLER BRACKET

   
   
   1. 

      *A	w/o Thermostat, for Type A
      *B	w/ Thermostat

      w/ Thermostat:

      Disconnect the connector.

   2. w/ Thermostat:

      Detach the clamp.

   3. Remove the screw and cooler bracket.

   REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *A	w/o Thermostat, for Type A
      *B	w/ Thermostat
      *a	SST

      Clamp the compressor assembly with magnet clutch in a vise between aluminum plates.

   2. Using SST, hold the magnet clutch hub.

   3. Remove the bolt, magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch washer(s).

      Tip:

      There is no set number of magnet clutch washers that are used for adjusting clutch clearance.

   4. 

      *A	w/o Thermostat, for Type A
      *B	w/ Thermostat

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

      Note:

      Do not damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

   5. 

      *A	w/o Thermostat, for Type A
      *B	w/ Thermostat

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
