OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR) (for Separate Seat Type)

   Tech Tips

   
   

   • Refer to the precautions on wrinkles to avoid creating any on the separate type front seat cushion cover when installing the seat cover.

   • As shown in the illustration, fix all of the cover seam allowances in the same direction.

   

   
   

   1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

   2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings in the order shown in the illustration.

      *a	Cutout	-	-

   3. Using hog ring pliers, connect the 2 straps of the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Tech Tips

      
      

      • Do not dirty or damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      
      

      • Securely tighten the hog rings as shown in the illustration while making sure wrinkles do not form in the center of the fabric and separate type front seatback pad.

2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Separate Seat Type)

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Separate Seat Type)

   Use the same procedure as for the driver seat.

4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Separate Seat Type)

5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Separate Seat Type)

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Separate Seat Type)

7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH (for Separate Seat Type)

   Use the same procedure as for the driver seat.

8. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR) (for Bench Seat Type)

   • Refer to the precautions on wrinkles to avoid creating any on the separate type front seat cushion cover when installing the seat cover.

   • As shown in the illustration, fix all of the cover seam allowances in the same direction.

   

   
   

   1. Set the separate type front seat cushion cover.

   2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 7 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration.

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      
      

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      Install the hog rings at the cutouts if they are there.
