  1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

      (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Pad (Occupant Detection Sensor))

      for Separate Seat Type:

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat not occupied 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).

      for Bench Seat Type:

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 2 Front passenger seat not occupied 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).
