DESCRIPTION

The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signals from the airbag sensor assembly and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) via CAN communication. If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) malfunction signals from the airbag sensor assembly or skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), DTC C1A46 is stored.

  • While the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (4 mph) or more, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives a yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) malfunction signals from yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) for approximately 10 seconds.

  • While the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (4 mph) or more, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives a yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) zero point malfunction signals from skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) for approximately 10 seconds.

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Yaw rate sensor (Airbag sensor assembly)

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

  • Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly

Note


  • When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, always replace it with a new one.

  • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed.

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

    Tech Tips

    Pre-collision system DTC C1A46 may be stored due to a malfunction in the VSC system. Therefore, it is necessary to check for and troubleshoot VSC system DTCs first.


    1. Check for DTCs.
