PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM SETTING


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      *a PCS Warning Light

      Press and hold the pre-crash safety system cancel switch assembly for 3 seconds or more and check that the PCS warning light in the combination meter assembly illuminates and "Pre-Crash Safety Off"*1 or "PRE-CRASH SAFETY OFF"*2 is displayed in the multi-information display.


      • *1: for TFT Display Type

      • *2: for Dot Display Type

      Tech Tips

      When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the PCS will turn on. This can be changed through a customize setting using the GTS.

    3. Press the pre-crash safety system cancel switch assembly and check that the pre-crash safety system turns on and the PCS warning light turns off.

  2. CHECK PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM SENSITIVITY SETTING


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Operate the pre-crash safety system cancel switch assembly to select Change PCS Sensitivity and check that the pre-crash safety system sensitivity setting displayed on the multi-information display changes between "Far", "Mid" and "Near" accordingly.

      • Check that the sensitivity setting displayed on the multi-information display changes between "Far", "Mid", and "Near" accordingly.

      • The default setting is "Mid".
