DESCRIPTION

The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives steering angle information from the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly). If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detects a steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly) malfunction, DTC C1A47 is stored.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

  • When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, always replace it with a new one.

  • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed.

  • The pre-crash safety system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there are no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.

    CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

    Tip:

    Pre-crash safety system DTC C1A47 may be stored due to a malfunction in the VSC system. Therefore, it is necessary to check for and troubleshoot VSC system DTCs first.


    1. Check for DTCs.

      1. Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

    1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
