  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the hook on the side of the airbag door facing the rear of the vehicle and set the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly onto the airbag door.

    2. Slowly pull the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to attach the hook on the side of the airbag door facing the rear of the vehicle and install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

    4. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. w/o Selectable Vent Hole:


      1. Connect the airbag connector and push the connector lock.

        Note

        When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    6. w/ Selectable Vent Hole:


      1. Connect the 2 airbag connectors and push the 2 connector locks.

        Note

        When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  2. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

  5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
