  1. INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION (w/ Illuminated Entry System)

    Note:

    Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings.

    Tip:

    When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light and No. 1 room light assembly*3 switch is in the DOOR position.


    1. The interior light control illuminates the lights below.


      • Map light assembly

      • No. 1 room light assembly*3

      • Engine switch*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2


        • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

        • *2: w/ Immobiliser System (w/o Entry and Start System)

        • *3: w/ No. 1 Room Light Assembly

    2. The operations and operating conditions of this control are described below (w/ Immobiliser System).

      Operation Condition
      Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed.
      Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out
      • When any of the following conditions is met:
      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked.

      • The ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all the doors are closed.

      • The state changes from any of the doors being opened to all doors being closed and the ignition switch is off.

      Lights fade out immediately
      • When either of the following conditions is met:
      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all the doors are closed.

      • All the doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all the doors are closed and then any door is unlocked.

    3. The operations and operating conditions of this control are described below (w/o Immobiliser System).

      Operation Condition
      Lights on and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed.
      Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then turn off
      • When any of the following conditions is met:
      • The ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all the doors are closed.

      • The state changes from any of the doors being opened to all doors being closed and the ignition switch is off.

      Lights turn off immediately The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all the doors are closed.
  2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION (w/ Illuminated Entry System)


    1. The battery saving control (basic function) illuminates the lights and parts below.


      • Engine switch*1

      • Ignition key cylinder light*2


        • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

        • *2: w/ Immobiliser System (w/o Entry and Start System)


      1. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Battery saving (basic function) When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the engine switch is off, the illumination turns off.*1
        When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not in the ignition key cylinder, the illumination turns off.*2

      1. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Battery saving (interior light auto cut function) 20 minutes has elapsed since the ignition switch was turned off, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed and regardless of the map light switch position.
