Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • Fully open the rear door glass sub-assembly LH before proceeding with work.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

  4. REMOVE REAR ARMREST ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window)

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      B0068HS "Torx" Screw
      B006964 Connector
      B0069FO Remove in this Direction

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

    3. Slide the rear door lock assembly LH downward, and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      B00692L Protective Tape

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw and clamp and remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly LH from the rear door lock assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the thin-bladed screwdriver tip before use.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the guide and remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly LH from the rear door lock assembly LH.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the guide and remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly LH from the rear door lock assembly LH.

  18. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL

      Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly LH.
