GENERATOR(for 130 A Type) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the generator assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    w/ Stop and Start System:

  • Battery terminal is disconnected/reconnected

Drive the vehicle until stop and start control is permitted (approximately 5 to 40 minutes) Stop and start system

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Loosen the 2 nuts.

      Remove the 2 battery clamp bolts and battery clamp sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY

  5. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  6. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR HOSE

  7. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  8. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the generator connector and detach the clamp..

    3. Remove the terminal cap.

    4. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

      Detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the wire harness..

      Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 generator brackets.
