REAR LEAF SPRING(for 2WD) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE REAR SPRING PIN BUSH (for Single Cab)

   
   

   1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear spring pin bushes from the rear spring assembly LH.

2. Click here

   REMOVE REAR LOWER SPRING SHACKLE BUSH

   
   

   1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear lower spring shackle bushes from the rear spring assembly LH.

3. Click here

   DISASSEMBLE REAR SPRING ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Secure the rear spring assembly LH in a vise between aluminum plates.

   2. Using a brass bar and hammer, pry open the 4 spring clips of the rear No. 3 spring leaf.

      Note:

      Do not damage the leaf spring.

   3. 

      Secure the spring with a vise as shown in the illustration.

   4. Remove the nut and center bolt.

   5. for TMT Made:

      Remove the 2 rear No. 3 spring spacers.

   6. for TSAM Made:

      Remove the 3 rear No. 3 spring spacers.

   7. Remove the rear No. 1 spring spacer.

4. Click here

   REMOVE REAR SPRING SILENCER

   
   

   1. Remove the 4 rear spring silencers from the leaf spring.

5. Click here

   REMOVE REAR SPRING LEAF BUSH (except Single Cab)

   
   
   1. 

      Using SST and a press, press out the rear spring leaf bush.
