FRONT STABILIZER BAR(for 2WD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR


    1. Install the front stabilizer bar to the vehicle body.

  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH


    1. B0068M0C01
      *a Bush Stopper
      *b Outer Side
      *c Front of the Vehicle

      Install the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes.

      Tech Tips


      • Install each bush to the outer side of the bush stopper on the stabilizer bar.


      • Install each bush with the slit of the bush facing the front of the vehicle.

  3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET


    1. B0068Z2

      Install the 2 front stabilizer brackets with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      48 N*m  { 489 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the brackets' arrows face the front of the vehicle.

  4. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the 2 retainers, 2 cushions and front stabilizer link assembly LH.

    2. B0068D3C01
      *a Upper Side
      *b Lower Side

      Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with a new nut (upper side) and the nut (lower side).

      Torque:
      for upper side
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }
      for lower side
      78 N*m  { 795 kgf*cm, 58 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud in place.

  5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Under Cover Assembly)

  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

  9. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
