DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is not stored in the telematics transceiver or when the VIN stored in the telematics transceiver and the VIN stored in the ECM do not match.

When either of the following conditions is met:


  • The VIN is not stored in the telematics transceiver.

  • The VIN stored in the telematics transceiver and the VIN stored in the ECM do not match.

  • SFI system

  • ECD system

  • CAN communication system

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    REGISTER VIN


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Telematics / Utility / Vin Synchronization


      1. Body Electrical > Telematics > Utility
        Tester Display
        VIN Synchronization




    6. According to the display on the GTS, perform VIN Synchronization to register the VIN to the telematics transceiver.

  2. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      1. Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes


      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.
