PROCEDURE
REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT GUARD
for 2WD and Pre-Runner:
for Transmission side:
Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.
for Center support bearing side:
Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.
for 4WD:
for Transfer side:
Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.
for Center support bearing side:
Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.
REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY (for 2WD and Pre-Runner)

Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.

for RC60 and RC61:
Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange, differential torsional damper and differential flange.
for Differential Type BD20:
Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts and 4 washers and disconnect the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.
for Differential Type BD22:
Remove the 4 nuts and 4 washers and disconnect the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.
Remove the 2 set bolts of the center support bearing from the frame crossmember.
Pull out the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.
Note
When pulling out the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly, make sure that transmission fluid does not leak from the extension housing.
Tech Tips
Transmission fluid may leak from the extension housing there fore, use a container to catch the fluid.
for RC60 and RC61:
Remove the differential torsional damper.

Remove the 4 nuts and 4 washers and disconnect the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.

Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.
Remove the 4 nuts and 4 washers.
Remove the 2 set bolts of the center support bearing from the frame crossmember.
Remove the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.
