TOUCH SELECT 2-4 AND HIGH-LOW SYSTEM Clutch Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

While depressing the clutch pedal, the clutch start switch assembly sends a signal to terminal MTN of the 4 wheel drive control ECU. While the signal is input, switching between H4 and L4 is possible.

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   READ VALUE USING GTS (CLUTCH START SWITCH)

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Four Wheel Drive / Data List.

   6. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

   CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the C39 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

   2. Disconnect the B2 clutch start switch assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C39-18 (MTN) - B2-2 Always Below 1 Ω C39-18 (MTN) or B2-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
