MANUAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM INITIALIZATION


  1. IMT INSTALLATION INFORMATION RESET (WITH IMT SWITCH)

    This function is used to reset the iMT installation information stored in ECM.

    Note

    Performing iMT Installation Information Reset will clear the stored status of the iMT installation information (iMT Type). Make sure to perform iMT Installation Information Reset and set the iMT installation information (iMT Type) when replacing any of the parts shown in the following table.

    Use this function to reset the iMT installation information when the sensor is wrongly assembled or the ECM is wrongly interchanged between a vehicle with iMT and a vehicle without iMT.


    1. Perform iMT Installation Information Reset as follows:


      1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

        Note

        Do not start the engine.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / iMT Installation Information Reset.


        Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Utility
        Tester Display
        iMT Installation Information Reset

      6. Perform the iMT Installation Information Reset.

    2. Set the iMT installation information as follows:


      1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Fully depress the clutch pedal.

      6. Move the shift lever to neutral.

      7. Start the engine.

      8. Release the clutch pedal.

      9. Fully depress the clutch pedal.

      10. Release the clutch pedal.

      11. Wait at least 3 seconds.

      12. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / iMT Type.


        Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
        Tester Display
        iMT Type

      13. Confirm that the iMT Type is Type B (with iMT).

    3. After performing iMT Installation Information Reset, perform Road Test.

  2. IMT INSTALLATION INFORMATION RESET (WITHOUT IMT SWITCH)

    This function is used to reset the iMT installation information stored in ECM.

    Note

    Performing iMT Installation Information Reset will clear the stored status of the iMT installation information (iMT Type). Make sure to perform iMT Installation Information Reset and set the iMT installation information (iMT Type) when replacing any of the parts shown in the following table.

        Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
        Tester Display
        iMT Type

      8. Confirm that the iMT Type is Type A (without iMT).
