INPUT SHAFT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING

   
   

   1. 

      Using SST and a press, press in a new input shaft front bearing to the input shaft.

      SST

      09950-60010   ( 09951-00570 )

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )

      Note

      Install the input shaft front bearing so that the snap ring groove is on the front side.

2. INSTALL FRONT BEARING SHAFT SNAP RING

   
   

   1. Select a front bearing shaft snap ring so that the clearance between the input shaft and front input shaft bearing is within the specification.

      Standard clearance
      0.10 mm (0.00393 in.) or less

      Snap Ring Thickness
      Thickness 2.10 to 2.15 mm (0.0827 to 0.0846 in.) 2.15 to 2.20 mm (0.0847 to 0.0866 in.) 2.20 to 2.25 mm (0.0867 to 0.0885 in.) 2.25 to 2.30 mm (0.0886 to 0.0905 in.) 2.30 to 2.35 mm (0.0906 to 0.0925 in.) 2.35 to 2.40 mm (0.0926 to 0.0944 in.) 2.40 to 2.45 mm (0.0945 to 0.0964 in.)

   2. 

      Using a snap ring expander, install the front bearing shaft snap ring.

3. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT BEARING

   
   

   1. 

      Apply gear oil to the input shaft bearing, and install it to the input shaft.
