DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio and display receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, it is necessary to perform the vehicle contract setting for Connected Services (w/ Connected Services Function).

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G38 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G9 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G38-3 (CNH1) - G9-38 (LCL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G38-4 (CNL1) - G9-37 (LCL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G38-3 (CNH1) or G9-38 (LCL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G38-4 (CNL1) or G9-37 (LCL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G38-3 (CNH1) - G38-4 (CNL1) Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G38-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      G38-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  3. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the radio and display receiver assembly.

  4. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  5. CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait 30 seconds.

    2. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly and the audio and visual system can be operated normally.

      OK
      Audio system returns to normal.
