AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio Receiver Type) Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Telematics Transceiver

DESCRIPTION

The telematics transceiver sends a mute signal to the radio receiver assembly.

The radio receiver assembly controls the volume according to the mute signal from the telematics transceiver.

  1. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G130-17 (MUTE) - Body ground

      Ignition switch ACC

      Audio system playing

      → Emergency call mode

      3.5 V or higher

      → Below 1 V
      Result

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)


    1. Disconnect the G118 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G130 telematics transceiver connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G118-8 (TMUT) - G130-17 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      G118-8 (TMUT) or G130-17 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the G118 radio receiver assembly connector.
