    1. Interview the customer and confirm the problem.

    CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the voltage of the battery.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

      Tip:

      A simple method to determine whether the battery is depleted is to operate the horn.

    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.


      1. Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Trouble Codes


      Tip:

      When DTCs indicating CAN and/or LIN communication system malfunctions are output, repair the CAN and/or LIN communication systems before performing diagnosis.
