VANE PUMP(for 1TR-FE, 2TR-FE) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the vane pump assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

   2. Connect the connector to the power steering oil pressure switch.

2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket and the pressure feed tube assembly to the vane pump assembly with the union bolt.

      Torque:

      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the front housing.

3. CONNECT RETURN HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the return hose to the oil reservoir sub-assembly and slide the hose clamp.

4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

5. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

6. ADJUST POWER STEERING FLUID

   Click here

7. CHECK FOR FLUID LEAKS
