VANE PUMP(for 1GR-FE) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the vane pump assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

   2. for 2WD:

      Connect the power steering oil pressure switch connector.

      Note

      Make sure that no oil adheres to the connector.

2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. for 2WD:

      
      

      1. Install a new gasket onto the pressure feed tube assembly.

      2. Install the pressure feed tube assembly with the union bolt.

         Torque:

         49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

         Tech Tips

         Make sure that the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the front housing.

   2. for 4WD:

      
      

      1. Install a new gasket onto the pressure feed tube assembly.

      2. Install the pressure feed tube assembly with the union bolt.

         Torque:

         49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

         Tech Tips

         Make sure that the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the front housing.

      3. Connect the power steering oil pressure switch.

         Note

         Make sure that no oil adheres to the connector.

3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 1 oil reservoir to pump hose with the clip.

4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

   Click here

5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

   
   

   1. Attach the new 6 clips to install the front fender apron seal RH.

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

7. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

8. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

   Click here

9. CHECK FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKAGE
