Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Using a screwdriver, remove the cylinder boot from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Be careful not to damage the front disc brake piston and disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

Place a piece of cloth between the front disc brake piston and disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Apply compressed air to remove the front disc brake piston from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.
Note
Be careful not to spatter the brake fluid.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL

Using a screwdriver, remove the piston seal from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note
Be careful not to damage the inner cylinder and cylinder groove.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the front disc brake bleeder plug from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
