PROCEDURE
INSTALL LOAD SENSING SPRING BUSH & BOOT KIT
Install the load sensing valve boot and load sensing spring boot to the load sensing spring assembly.
Install both dust seals, No. 1 load sensing spring bushes and No. 2 load sensing spring bushes to the load sensing spring assembly.
Note
Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to all contact surfaces.
Make sure the valve side and shackle side of the spring are installed properly.
INSTALL NO. 1 LOAD SENSING SPRING SHACKLE AND NO. 2 LOAD SENSING SPRING SHACKLE
Install the adjusting nut, plate washer and No. 2 load sensing spring shackle to the No. 1 load sensing spring shackle.
Tighten the lock nut.
Install the No. 1 load sensing spring shackle (with the No. 2 load sensing spring shackle) to the load sensing spring assembly.
Install the 2 plate washers and spring washer with the bolt and nut.
INSTALL LOAD SENSING SPRING ASSEMBLY
Using pliers, install the load sensing spring assembly to the load sensing valve body with the clip.
INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE BRACKET
Install the load sensing valve set plate to the load sensing valve bracket.
Install the load sensing valve bracket with the 3 bolts.
Install the load sensing valve bracket to the load sensing valve assembly with the nut and bolt.
INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET
Install the rear flexible hose bracket and load sensing valve set plate to the 2 spring washers with the 2 nuts.
Install a new clip.
| *a | Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length |
Using a union nut wrench, connect the rear No. 9 brake tube to the rear brake flexible hose.
Tech Tips
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.8661 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.3779 in.)): 13.4 N*m (137 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
| *a | Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length |
Using a union nut wrench, connect the 3 brake lines to the load sensing valve body.
Note
Do not damage or deform the brake lines.
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
CONNECT NO. 2 LOAD SENSING SPRING SHACKLE
Connect the No. 2 shackle to the rear differential.
Install the bolt, collar and 2 load sensing valve bushes.
