BRAKE BOOSTER(w/ ABS) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET

   
   

   1. Install a new brake booster gasket to the brake booster assembly.

2. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:

      18.4 N*m  { 188 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

   2. for Diesel:

      
      

      1. Install the 2 new grommets to the brake booster assembly.

      2. Install the vacuum warning switch assembly to the brake booster assembly.

      3. Install the brake vacuum check valve assembly to the brake booster assembly.

   3. for 1TR-FE, 2TR-FE:

      
      

      1. Install the 2 new grommets to the brake booster assembly.

      2. Install the 2 brake vacuum check valve assemblies to the brake booster assembly.

   4. for 1GR-FE:

      
      

      1. Install the grommet and brake vacuum check valve assembly to the brake booster assembly.

3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. CONNECT VACUUM HOSE

   
   

   1. except 1TR-FE, 2TR-FE:

      Connect the vacuum hose to the brake vacuum check valve assembly, and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. for 1TR-FE:

      Connect the 2 vacuum hoses to each brake vacuum check valve assembly, and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

   
   

   1. Install the brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake booster assembly.

6. INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN

7. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

   Click here

8. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM (w/ VSC)

   Click here

9. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM (w/o VSC)

   Click here

10. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for Manual Transmission)

    Click here

11. CHECK AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT
