PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

      Component without harness connected

      (Combination Switch Assembly (Pattern Select Switch Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (PWR) - 2 (E) Combination switch (PWR) pushed Below 1 Ω
      Combination switch (PWR) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (pattern select switch assembly).

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the pattern select switch assembly, and check the illumination condition of the combination switch assembly (pattern select switch assembly).

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-) Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (pattern select switch).
