DESCRIPTION

The speed sensor installed on the wheels outputs wheel speed pulse signals which are then converted to vehicle speed pulse signals by the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly). These pulse signals are then output to the combination meter assembly as vehicle speed signals and then input to the ECU.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

This DTC may be output by the SFI system at the same time. In that case, perform troubleshooting for the SFI system first*1.

This DTC may be output by the ECD system at the same time. In that case, perform troubleshooting for the ECD system first*2.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTCs


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs


    5. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle for more than 10 seconds when the engine coolant temperature is more than 20°C (68°F).

    6. Check for DTCs.
