GLOW PLUG CONTROLLER REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the glow plug controller removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE GLOW PLUG CONTROLLER


    1. B00284K

      for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the clamp from the glow plug controller.

      2. B0024FD

        Remove the 2 bolts and glow plug controller.

    2. B0024V2

      for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the clamp from the glow plug controller.

      2. B002850

        Remove the bolt and glow plug controller.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONTROLLER BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 glow plug controller bracket from the glow plug controller.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 GLOW PLUG CONTROLLER BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 glow plug controller bracket from the glow plug controller.
