To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the injector assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector and detach the 2 clamps.
Loosen the hose clamp, and then remove the air cleaner hose from the turbocharger sub-assembly.
Disconnect the ventilation hose and remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner cap sub-assembly with air cleaner hose.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the air cleaner element sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps.
Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case sub-assembly.
REMOVE PCV HOSE HEAT INSULATOR
Remove the 2 bolts and PCV hose heat insulator.
REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE PIPE
REMOVE TURBINE OUTLET ELBOW
Remove the 2 bolts, 4 nuts, turbine outlet elbow with turbocharger stay and gasket from the turbocharger sub-assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and turbocharger stay from the turbine outlet elbow.
REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and manifold stay from the exhaust manifold and engine mount bracket.
Remove the 2 bolts, union bolt and 2 gaskets from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
Remove the 3 nuts, turbocharger sub-assembly with turbo oil inlet pipe sub-assembly and gasket.
Remove the 2 nuts, turbo oil pipe sub-assembly and gasket from the turbocharger sub-assembly.
REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Remove the 8 nuts, 8 plate washers and exhaust manifold.
Remove the gasket.
