INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    3. Disconnect the throttle body with motor connector.

      Slide the clip and disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the purge VSV.

    5. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    6. A01SBC7

      Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    7. A01SBHR

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 PCV hose from the intake air surge tank.

    8. Slide the clip and disconnect the purge line hose from the intake air surge tank.

    9. A01SEOR

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    10. A01SBRY

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the water hose sub-assembly.

    11. A01SEH6

      Remove the 2 bolts and throttle body bracket.

    12. B0025EB

      Remove the bolt and oil baffle plate.

    13. A01SDE8

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 surge tank stay.

    14. A01SBX0

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 surge tank stay.

    15. A01SAVY

      Using an 8 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and intake air surge tank and gasket.

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A01SCFS

      Remove the 10 bolts, intake manifold and 2 gaskets.

  9. REMOVE STUD BOLT

    Note

    If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.


    1. Using an E7 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.
