AIR PUMP(w/ Secondary Air Injection System) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER APRON SEAL RH

  2. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER RH


    1. Remove the 6 clips and 3 screws and disconnect the front fender liner RH from the front bumper cover and body panel.

      Tech Tips

      It is not necessary to fully remove the front fender liner RH. Partially remove it so that the air pump assembly with bracket can be removed.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE AIR PUMP INLET

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air pump inlet.

    2. Remove the No. 1 air injection system hose from the air pump inlet pipe.

    3. Remove the air pump inlet from the No. 1 air injection system hose.

  7. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

      Remove the hose clamp from the No. 4 air injection system hose and radiator hose inlet.

    2. A01SEIF

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 4 air injection system hose from the air switching valve assembly and air pump inlet pipe.

  8. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET


    1. A01SET3

      Disconnect the air pump connector.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. A01SCHN

      Disconnect the No. 2 air injection system hose from the air pump inlet pipe.

    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 air injection system hose from the air pump inlet pipe.

    5. A01SEK0

      Remove the 3 bolts and air pump assembly with bracket.

  9. REMOVE AIR PUMP INLET PIPE


    1. A01SEX1

      Remove the 2 bolts and air pump inlet pipe from the body panel.

  10. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01SD1CC01
      *1 No. 2 Air Injection System Hose
      *2 No. 3 Air Injection System Hose
      *3 Hose Clamp

      Remove the hose clamp from the No. 3 air injection system hose and wire harness.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 air injection system hose from the air pump assembly.

    3. Remove the No. 2 air injection system hose from the air pump assembly.

      B0068HS Air Pump Insulator

      Detach the 3 fittings of the air pump insulators and remove the air pump assembly from the air pump bracket.
