OIL PUMP REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR


    1. Place the timing belt case sub-assembly on wooden blocks.

      Note

      Do not damage the timing pointer.

    2. A01SCAVC02
      *a Mark

      Insert the oil pump drive gear and oil pump driven gear into the timing belt case sub-assembly with the marks facing the oil pump cover side.

  2. INSTALL OIL PUMP COVER


    1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the screws.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent

    2. Install the oil pump cover to the timing belt case sub-assembly with the 8 screws.

      Torque:
      10.3 N*m  { 105 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE


    1. Insert the oil pump relief valve and oil pump relief valve spring into the installation hole of the timing belt case sub-assembly.

    2. Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, install a new gasket and the oil pump relief valve plug.

      Torque:
      36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }
