FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  2. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

    2. Disconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

  6. DISCONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE

      Disconnect the fuel main tube from the fuel filter assembly.

  7. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 nuts and fuel filter assembly.

  8. INSTALL FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel filter assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  9. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE


    1. Connect the fuel main tube to the fuel filter assembly.

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly to the fuel filter assembly.

      Click here

    2. Attach the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly to the fuel filter assembly.

  11. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  13. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
