PROCEDURE
REPAIR INTAKE VALVE SEAT
Repair the intake valve seat while checking the intake valve seating position.
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
Take off the cutter gradually to make the intake valve seat smooth.

If the seating is too high on the valve face, use 25 and 45° cutters to correct the seat.

If the seating is too low on the valve face, use 70 and 45° cutters to correct the seat.
Hand-lap the intake valve and intake valve seat with an abrasive compound.
Clean the intake valve and intake valve seat.
REPAIR EXHAUST VALVE SEAT
Repair the exhaust valve seat while checking the exhaust valve seating position.
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
Take off the cutter gradually to make the exhaust valve seat smooth.

If the seating is too high on the valve face, use 25 and 45° cutters to correct the seat.

If the seating is too low on the valve face, use 75 and 45° cutters to correct the seat.
Hand-lap the exhaust valve and exhaust valve seat with an abrasive compound.
Clean the exhaust valve and exhaust valve seat.
