COMMON RAIL INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMMON RAIL ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the fuel pressure sensor.

        Component without harness connected

        (Common Rail Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2 - 3 25°C (77°F) 16.4 kΩ or less
        5 - 4 25°C (77°F) 16.4 kΩ or less
        1 - 2 25°C (77°F) 3 kΩ or less
        6 - 5 25°C (77°F) 3 kΩ or less

        If the result is not as specified, replace the common rail assembly.

    2. Inspect the pressure discharge valve.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 0.85 to 1.05 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the common rail assembly.
